Al TuscanoRetirement can be a great joy if you can figure out how to spend time without spending money. ~Author Unknown

The Tuscano men have a pretty firm tradition when it comes to retirement - set a date and countdown! Bill was going to retire on his 65th birthday because 'By golly, I am going to collect every cent of my social security". On that day, he walked out the door, got on his motorcycle and took off. My brother Al Tuscano has been in countdown mode for well over a year now. He's less than 40 days from hopping on his bike and taking a retirement sojourn.

Al joined Tuscano after spending a lifetime in the roofing business. He started our loss control department and brought his knowledge and expertise of building, construction, and safety to our organization. For the past 15 years, we've been blessed to be able to call on him with questions about loss control issues or to send him out to do a rush inspection. We've also been lucky to have his support as a family member and owner. The problem is, he is going to have so much fun once he's walked out the door I am going to have serious retirement envy. Congratulations Al on getting to the finish line!

You can't pigeonhole retirees; Tuscano men have never simply retired from an active life. You can't pigeonhole the Tuscano Agency either. We aren't just trucking underwriters or restaurant underwriters or construction risk underwriters! You cannot define us by just one line of business; we do many things and we do them all well!

One of the largest classes of business we write is commercial property. If there is a building and people live or work in it, we can usually write it. It doesn't matter where it is, or how big or small, or whether the wind blows! And while we love to write property that is occupied by people, we can do an even better job on property that is not occupied by people! Vacant property is a line of business we have been doing since we first opened our doors. We continue to improve our ability to write broader coverage or tougher exposures.

Not many wholesalers are as committed to helping you write personal lines brokerage business as we are. We have a team of six who make up our Personal Lines department and who are dedicated to this specialty business. We write a ton of personal umbrella business and that includes everything from high-profile & affluent customers to folks with bad driving records or your typical customer just starting out in a career. We also write boats, travel trailers, motorcycles and all other manner of motorized recreational vehicles. Tuscano's Personal Lines team has also been very successful in writing homeowners and dwelling fire business. From very big to tiny homes - call us today to learn more!

You definitely can't put our Casualty Team in an underwriting box! Years ago we earned our name as a wholesaler who could write contractors. Today we are still writing contractors large and small, but we also handle professional liability, technology risks, management liability, manufacturing and so much more! Our Casualty underwriters will also help you with workman's comp for all types of business. The team is creative and persistent, and will listen to what you need and then go to work for you.

Everyone should be lucky enough to love the work they do and yet move on to new adventures! I hope you experience that someday, just like Al. In the meantime, don't retire your brokerage business without giving us a call first!
