News & Views: Happy Birthday, iPhone

Happy birthday, iPhone!! Wow has it already been 10 years? Do you remember the early days when we used to line up at the AT&T store (some of us live in an Apple store desert) to get the newest iPhone model? The world has certainly changed, fueled largely by the fact that we now carry a computer in our pocket, and are connected to the rest of the world 24/7. Today, there are over 2 million apps that do almost anything we want to do - from getting directions to recording our lives.  Soon we'll be driving our cars with an app!

Not all outcomes of having a smart device in our pockets have been beneficial though, don't you agree? Using a phone while driving is almost as stupid as driving with your eyes closed. And while our phones have the ability to connect us, they also have the potential to isolate us - picture a family in a restaurant, how many heads are bent looking at a phone rather than engaging in a conversation?

As a business owner, I am constantly asking myself how do we make things better without making them worse?  Hopefully, Tuscano has built some tools that make your life better! If you haven't checked out our Tuscano Toolbox lately, now is a great time to go exploring. We have added new features that allow you to pay your accounts online, sign up for direct deposit of direct bill commissions, manage your users and preferences, manage your policies and documents, and of course, our favorite - lots and lots of online raters. We'd love your feedback on how our tools are working for you.

I have been remiss in updating you on some great new developments in our property markets. We've lowered our rates on our London binding contracts, and have been quite aggressive on better classes of property. Even if it's got hair on it, give us a call.

Hopefully, you have a long holiday weekend coming up. I know the staff here at Tuscano are very excited to have BOTH Monday, July 3rd, and Tuesday, July 4th off. Our staff works hard every day, so an extra day is a sweet reward. Plus, it's kind of nice to be closed on a day that the banks aren't.

Celebrate your Independence!
