One of the few tasks I still engage in is handling our Lloyds contract claims. This is good for me because I get to engage with people – customers, claimants, carriers – on a regular basis. I’m actually pretty grateful for this job; it keeps things in perspective. I was on the phone with an agent last week sifting through a claim, and as we got to the end I thanked him for his business and asked if there was anything else Tuscano could do for his agency. He replied, “How do you manage to do everything you already do?” I had to stop and think about that. If I’m not careful, I’ll fall into the ‘never enough’ trap, when in truth, we just have to keep doing what we do really well.
I appreciate these compliments. But when they come, I know it’s the people on our team that make our customers feel well taken care of. I’ll give our leadership team a ton of credit for focusing on the right things, like hiring really good team members, building tools that help you write business, and simply picking up the phone! No business is perfect, things can and do go wrong, but I hope your experience with Tuscano leaves you with the confidence that we are doing what you need us to do really well.
On that note, I’d like to give a shout-out to our Personal Lines team. Home and dwelling are two of their leading lines of business. For those classes alone they have over seven markets to consider depending on the risk characteristics. They are about as engaged as you can get when it comes to finding the right market, coverage, and pricing for your clients. When your carrier’s ‘prohibit list’ sends you scrambling for coverage, the easiest thing in the world is to pick up the phone and discuss the risk with a Tuscano Personal Lines underwriter.
We love dogs here at the Tuscano Agency and provide dog liability coverage! Not all carriers are a fan which is why we created a solution for every dog breed even with a bite history. We offer limits from $25k-$300k for your clients who need dog liability coverage and cannot get it from the underlying carrier. Give our personal lines team a call today! They love to help!
Last week a dear friend passed away and Teri and I spent the better part of the weekend attending funeral services. Have I ever mentioned we live in a real village which means nearly everyone ‘in town’ was also in attendance? My friend Dennis lived a full life – as a Vietnam Vet, a successful businessman, a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a huge presence in our community, and was well known for his faith as well as his opinions about everything from Y2K to vaccines! Dennis would often say things that would make my hair stand on end but in this really guileless way. I know in my heart he cared about people and even those folks who were political opposites were touched by his life. Well done my friend.
And well done to you! Thanks, for your business!
