News and Views: Dear Santa

Newsletter – Monday, December 16, 2024

Dear Santa,

I hope this letter finds you well and that you and the reindeer are gearing up for another magical Christmas Eve. As the holiday season approaches, I reflect on what I truly wish for this year—not just for myself but for the world around me.

Santa, this year I’m not asking for toys or gadgets. Instead, my wish is for something deeper, something that I believe we all need more than anything else: harmony and unity.

In a world that often feels divided, where it’s easy to get lost in differences, my heart yearns for the peace when people work together, respect one another, and celebrate what makes us unique while embracing what connects us. I wish for a world where kindness is the rule, not the exception, understanding overcomes judgment, and empathy builds bridges, not walls.

I wish for communities to come together, whether they’re neighbors, families, or even strangers. I wish for a world where we find common ground, even in our disagreements, and are more focused on what unites us than what sets us apart. If we could all treat each other with more compassion, Santa, I believe the world would be a brighter, more joyful place.

Please bring this gift of unity to those who need it most: to people who feel isolated, to places torn by conflict, and to hearts burdened by hate. This might seem like a tall order, but if anyone can sprinkle some magic on the world, it’s you.

Thank you for everything you do, Santa. I’ll leave out the milk and cookies, and I promise to keep my heart open to the possibility of making this wish come true, one small act of kindness at a time.

With love and hope,

Robin
